| Abstract: | This dataset contains Shallow Station data collected from Wharf Pointe Noire in Guadalupe from April 1969 to August 1982. The primary productivity data were submitted by M. Fevrier from the IFREMER Institute in Brest, France on a tape. The tape also includes data from the Radiales Productivite cruises using the ship Andre Nizery. These data are duplicates of data in the archives. These data have been copied by NODC and are present in the two files that represent this accession. |

The design of the database did not exactly reflect the FGDC Content Standard for Digital Geospatial Metadata (CSDGM). Principal Investigator (PI) and organization contact information accurately represents all available information from the legacy database at the time that this description was created. However, proper attribution of a PI to a specific institution or the role (submitting or collecting) taken by an institution may not be correct due to inexact mapping between fields in the legacy database and the CSDGM.
