| Title: | Delayed XBT data assembled for the Global Temperature-Salinity Profile Programme (GTSPP) and processed 1997-05-12 - 1997-05-18 (NCEI Accession 9700069) |
| Abstract: | Temperature profiles were obtained from bathythermograph (XBT) casts in the North Atlantic Ocean and other locations from the Chandler and other platforms as part of the Shipboard Environmental Acquisition System (SEAS) program. Data were collected from 19 cruises from 25 April 1996 to 24 April 1997. Data is archived in the SEAS Version 4.41 format. |

| Supplementary information: | These data are processed and incorporated into the Global Temperature-Salinity Profile Programme (GTSPP) database. NCEI has determined that the call sign for the platform "OLEANDER" as documented in the data files is incorrect. The data files document the call sign as "PJJU" whilst NCEI has determined the correct call sign is "V7SX3". |
