Abstract: This dataset contains sea surface temperature (SST) data collected from buoys deployed in support of the U.S. Coast Guard Office of Search and Rescue (CG-SAR) program. These SST data are reported in degrees Fahrenheit along with the geospatial coordinates in decimal degrees. Deployment purposes include research, law enforcement, environmental protection, training, search and rescue, legacy deployment and other. Buoys are deployed from fixed wing aircraft, helicopters, vessels and other platforms.
