This data set consists of hourly measurements of near ground-level ozone collected from Arctic locations. These data consist of a collection of data from separate sites that have been quality checked and used for the calculation of expected monthly variation in ozone conditions.

  • Parameter or Variable: Ozone Mixing Ratio (measured); Units: ppbv; Observation Category: in situ; Sampling Instrument: Dual Cell UV Photometer; Sampling and Analyzing Method: Dual cell UV photometers that function on the absorption of UV light by ozone at 254nm and relating the UV absorption to the ozone mole fraction following the Beer-Lambert law; Data Quality Method: Data quality confirmed through visual inspection of hourly data with any invalid numbers being removed from the record. Data from instrumentation with found problems was removed from the record.
