This dataset contains biological and survey - biological data collected during deployment Osenberg_et_al_Moorea from 2007-02-01 to 2007-08-31. These data include abundance and species. The instruments used to collect these data include Aquarium. These data were collected by Adrian Stier of University of California-Santa Barbara and Shane Geange of Victoria University of Wellington as part of the "Cryptic density dependence: the effects of spatial, ontogenetic, and individual variation in reef fish (CDD_in_Reef_Fish)" project. The Biological and Chemical Oceanography Data Management Office (BCO-DMO) submitted these data to NCEI on 2021-06-29.

Acquisition Description:
The study was conducted in the northern lagoon of Moorea, French Polynesia (17 30’S, 149 50’W), at the Gump Research Station between February and August 2007, using a grid of 28 live-coral patch reefs in water 2 to 4 meters deep.

Experimental Design and Execution
This dataset is descriptive, listing all species within the community found on each of the 28 reefs used in the study.
Purpose This dataset is available to the public for a wide variety of uses including scientific research and analysis.
