This dataset includes chemical, navigational, optical, physical, and profile data collected aboard the RV Nathaniel B. Palmer during cruise NBP0304BCD in the Arctic Ocean, Beaufort Sea and others from 2003-08-17 to 2003-10-14. These data include Attenuation/Transmission, CONDUCTIVITY, DEPTH - OBSERVATION, DISSOLVED OXYGEN, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, Potential temperature (theta), SALINITY, SIGMA-T, SOUND VELOCITY, and WATER TEMPERATURE. The instruments used to collect these data include CTD, GPS, bathythermograph - XBT, oxygen sensor, and transmissometer. These data were collected by Steven Cande of University of California San Diego; Scripps Institution of Oceanography, and by Raytheon Polar Services Company as part of Production Observation Through Another Translatitudinal Oceanic Expedition (POTATOE)/Late Cretaceous and Cenozoic Reconstructions of the Southwest Pacific. The Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R) program submitted these data to NCEI.
