This dataset contains biological and survey - biological data collected at Cape_Eleuthera_Reefs during deployment Eleuthera_Reef_Surveys_2012 in the North Atlantic Ocean from 2012-07-03 to 2012-08-21. These data include fish_len. These data were collected by Cassandra E Benkwitt, Kurt Ingeman, Lillian J Tuttle, Mark Hixon, and Tye L Kindinger of Oregon State University as part of the "Ecological Release and Resistance at Sea: Invasion of Atlantic Coral Reefs by Pacific Lionfish (Lionfish Invasion)" project. The Biological and Chemical Oceanography Data Management Office (BCO-DMO) submitted these data to NCEI on 2019-11-12.

Record of lionfish collected near Eleuthera, Bahamas during 2012.

Dataset Description:
This dataset includes dates, locations, and biological information (e.g. length) of lionfish ( Pterois volitans ) that were handled (collected) near Eleuthera, Bahamas during the summer of 2012. Also, see the related dataset, "lionfish sightings Eleuthera", for a record of all lionfish sighted.

Acquisition Description:
Information was recorded on all invasive lionfish collected during fieldwork at Eleuthera, Bahamas from 15 June to 30 August 2012.
Purpose This dataset is available to the public for a wide variety of uses including scientific research and analysis.
