This archive information package contains outputs from the NOAA Harmful Algal Bloom Operational Forecast System (HAB-OFS) in the form of processed satellite imagery in GeoTIFF format and comma-separated text files, beginning on 2025-01-01 and continuing to 2025-11-30. The HAB-OFS is operated by the National Centers for Coastal Ocean Science (NCCOS) to produce forecasts for harmful algal blooms (HABs) of Karenia brevis (red tide) in the Florida and Texas regions. The forecast products include beach-level respiratory irritation forecasts based on the analysis of information from data providers, 8-day composite satellite imagery showing bloom extent, field observations, and a bloom intensification forecast. The forecast products are updated throughout the day as source data becomes available and accessible via the Florida and Texas HAB forecast web pages.

Note: In 2021 major enhancements were made to the Florida and Texas HAB-OFS. The update impacted the products generated for the forecast system.

Supplemental Information	Following the 2024/2025 Florida _K. brevis_ (red tide) bloom season, NCCOS updated the contents of this archived dataset, including: 1) Added data products to the archiving package for the southwest Florida _K. brevis_ intensification forecast (2022-present; HAB_FL_IntensificationForecast_Timeseries_2022toYYYY.csv and HAB_FL_IntensificationForecast_ModelRun_YYYYMMDD.png); 2) Changed the respiratory irritation forecast file names from RIFv2_modelrun_YYYYMMDDHHMM-EST_forecast_valid_HHhrs.csv to HAB_FL_TX_RespiratoryIrritationForecast_modelrun_ YYYYMMDDHHMM-EST_forecast_valid_HHhrs.csv to be more descriptive; and 3) Updated the data documentation and included additional metadata. In this accession, NCEI has archived multiple versions of these data. The latest (and best) version of these data has the largest version number.
Purpose	To assist Harmful Algal Bloom mitigation through early detection and forecasting.
