This dataset contains U.S. Navy Geodetic Satellite (GEOSAT) Geophysical data records from the Southern Oceans 30 to 70 degrees south. March 31, 1985 to September 30, 1986. These data were distributed by NODC on 2 CD-ROMs (NODC-18 and NODC-19). These data records have been reprocessed and included in other NODC GEOSAT standard data products.

This version of GEOSAT data is obsolete. An improved version of these GEOSAT observations are available in NCEI Accession 0053782.
