IR Sounder Upper Tropospheric Humidity BT CDR

Configuration Item ID 01B-03

The Infrared Radiation (IR) Sounder Upper Tropospheric Humidity Brightness Temperature (BT) Climate Data Record (CDR) measures upper tropospheric humidity. High Resolution Infrared Radiation Sounder (HIRS) level-1b data, in conjunction with cloud-clearing, limb-correction, and inter-satellite calibration, provide the CDR input. The final record has global coverage at a 2.5°x2.5° spatial resolution and provides data from 1978–present.
